The first consignment for shipment between November 10 and 24 involved 28,800 tonnes of US northern spring wheat of 14.5% protein content bought at $274.35 a tonne FOB US Pacific Northwest coast, traders said.
The consignment also involved 19,650 tonnes of hard red winter wheat of 12.5% protein content bought at $240.82 a tonne FOB and 7,800 tonnes of soft white wheat with 9% protein bought at $235.18 a tonne FOB.
The first consignment was all sold by trading house Columbia Grain International and has an additional freight charge of $32.86 per tonne for ocean shipping from the US Pacific Northwest coast to Taiwan, they said.
The second consignment for shipment between November 26 and December 10 involved 27,650 tonnes of US dark northern spring wheat of 14.5% protein content bought at $288.07 a tonne FOB US Pacific Northwest coast, traders said.
The consignment also involved 19,200 tonnes of hard red winter wheat of 12.5% protein content bought at $237.77 a tonne FOB and 7,200 tonnes of soft white wheat of 9% protein bought at $229.64 a tonne FOB.
The second consignment was all sold by United Grain Corporation and has an additional freight charge of $32.70 per tonne for ocean shipping from the US Pacific Northwest coast to Taiwan, they said.
In its last reported tender on September 24, the association rejected all offers and made no purchase as prices were regarded as too high.
